Backburner is: Fresh Kils, Dexter Doolittle, Uncle Fester, DJ Beef, Process, Jesse Dangerously, MF Deluxe, Thesis Sahib, Jay Bizzy, Ginzu, Johnny Hardcore, Wordburglar, Jabba The Kutt and Beat Mason.

We are also friends with Toolshed/Sequestrians and many other rappers.

This recording features 26 tracks. Every piece of music on the album comes from the hip hop 12” collections of Jesse D, Wordburglar, Fester and DJ Beef (plus one loaned by Skratch Bastid - thanks!). All praises due to the many talented producers whose beats we jacked!

Due to the itinerant nature of many of our members, not every one of us is represented on this mixtape (let alone any of the producers). Those who were involved in this mixtape are as follows:

Jay Bizzy - raps on 1,5,6,8,11,12,14,16,18,20,21,23,24,26
Johnny Hardcore - raps on 1,4,5,8,9,11,13,17,18,20,21,23,26
Ginzu - raps on 1,2,5,6,14,16,18,19,21
Jesse Dangerously - raps on 1,3,5,8,10,12,13,15,17,20,21,23,26
Fester - mixed instrumentals from 12” and rapped on 1,3,5,9,13,17,20,21,23
Wordburglar - rapped on 1,2,3,5,6,8,12,14,15,16,20,26
DJ Beef - all scratch routines and juggling
Beat Mason - engineered and mixed everything in ProTools
Dexter Doolittle - drove us around a bit, hung out, acted “cool”

For information on what 12”s were used, and other vital statistics on our posse, you have no choice but to visit www.backburner.ca

Also you should know that as good as we are at rapping, we might be even better at making beats. I don’t know. Maybe. Tough call. oh hey by the way...
